First healthcare tenants at new Houston Run Professional Center signify more offerings in underserved Gap community

The brand new Houston Run Professional Center in Gap, Pa., built after developer/ owner The Joann Group saw the need for more medical services in the Gap area, recently welcomed its first tenants. The $7-million, 52,000-square-foot complex is located at 836 Houston Run Drive in Salisbury Township. 

Lititz, Pa.-based Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center has opened its 4,000-square-foot Pequea Valley Internal Medicine Group at the center. The firm specializes in general and internal medicine and rheumatology under the direction of Dr. Anthony LaCorte and Dr. Ami Milton. The location will enable Heart of Lancaster to better serve communities in the Gap and Christiana area.

Heart of Lancaster plans to add obstetrics & gynecology, as well as other medical specialties.   

A second tenant, CPRS Physical Therapy, will open on August 30 at Houston Run. Along with providing physical therapy services in the 4,900-square-foot facility, CPRS will feature a wellness/fitness center that will be available to the public by membership.

A third tenant, Urgent Care of Lancaster, is expected to open a 5,800-square-foot facility in early 2011. The urgent care center will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and feature on-site radiology services.

These three tenants will occupy approximately 30 percent of the available square footage at Houston Run. Three other opportunities including other specialized medical practices and dentistry are pending according to Ruth Devenney, associate broker with High Associates Ltd., who represents the center.
